We are asking all of our supporters to help raise the remaining $1,000 dollars of herARTS in Action's $15,400 goal!
Operation Baby New Year is focussed on the health, well being, and sanitation of babies and families here in central Minnesota, and herARTS in Action has the same focus for the people of Burkina Faso!
"Make clean drinking water and sanitation in the village of Tiebele and access to art in Central MN reality, with many ways to offer your support!
In honor of World Toilet Day (11/19/17), we are asking for your tax deductible donation. $15,400 is needed to build 6 secure, lit latrines and 1 well, provide 5 women paid training on maintenance and repairs, and provide training to the villagers on hygiene and sanitation in Tiebele, Burkina Faso in January 2018.
You can donate many ways:
1. Schedule monthly donations via GiveMN.
2. Use your PayPal account to make a donation.
3. When you make purchases via Amazon, use Amazon Smile and select herARTS in Action as your charity.
4. Purchase artwork by founder Sarah Drake. 25% of sales are donated.
Operation Baby New Year would like to thank our fiscal sponsor herARTS in Action for being our fiscal sponsor for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 diaper drive!
Because of them, we are able to turn your tax deductible check donations into diaper purchases for local families in need!
Have you ever heard of the phrase "Think global, act local""? Well herARTS in Action does BOTH.
"herARTS in Action contributes to the attainment of sustainable socioeconomic status, including education, employment, and health, for the women and children of Burkina Faso based on the stated need and desires of the people and in a manner respectful of the culture. In MN we work to create opportunities for all ages and abilities to have access to visual arts."
"Founded in 2011 and awarded 501c3 status in 2014, herARTS in Action is a product of our founder Sarah Drake's first trip to Africa in the summer of 2011. She went to Burkina Faso in West Africa and fell in love with the people and places. The women and children in the village of Tiebele inspired Sarah to fundraise for projects that will lead to health, education, and sustainable economic status. Using her artwork as an education tool and fundraiser, she went on to create herARTS in Action when she returned to the United States because existing organizations were not working in that region."
